WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY: We continue an in-depth study of the Book of James, which reflects apostolic guidance to the early church that remains valuable and insightful even in the twenty-first century. Join us for this Lenten study on Wednesdays from 10:30am till 12 noon in the Wirman Room. .
Lenten Book Study - Lenten Book Study - Our traditional parish-wide Lenten Book Study continues to meet on Thursday nights throughout Lent. The focus of this series is The Prodigal God: Recovering the Heart of the Christian Faith by Timothy Keller pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. Keller’s brief book (at about 130 pages) is not just a helpful discussion about Jesus’ parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15, but also a source of hope and inspiration to those looking for a closer relationship with God or for signs of God’s grace and mercy. Our clergy will lead this series, which includes a DVD component featuring Keller himself. The discussion will run from 7pm till 8:30pm each night, with a soup-and-salad dinner provided beforehand starting at 6:30 pm (cash donations accepted at the door).
MARCH: First Communion Classes: A special Communion study and preparatory class will be offered for children during the month of March from 4pm - 5pm in the Wirman Room. Even if your child has been receiving communion, but has not had formal instruction, we encourage you to take advantage of the classes being offered. First Communion will take place at the 9am service on Sunday, March 28th.
